Beyond my articles, I have had the opportunity to engage in several other projects, from researching and editing author Michael Grunwald's latest book to organizing the inaugural Aspen Ideas: Climate conference. I also improved my multimedia skills by undertaking projects that required me to familiarize myself with photography and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Research with Michael Grunwald
As a research assistant for Michael Grunwald, I frequently compiled research and provided summaries on topics pertaining to his most recent book on how to combat climate change while creating a sustainable food supply for a growing global population. Throughout the process, I also edited draft manuscripts and created a presentation for Mike to share his research at the University of Miami's Earth Week in 2021. Aspen Ideas: Climate 2022 Conference
Through my internship for the Office of the Mayor and Commission of the City of Miami Beach, I had the opportunity to coordinate and plan aspects of the initial Aspen Ideas: Climate conference in Miami Beach. I compiled a deck for potential sponsors, determined viable venues to house guests and speaking events, and reached out to potential attendees to assemble an initial guest list.
Graphic Design
While honing my skills with Adobe Creative Cloud, I have taken advantage of opportunities to create designs for various organizations. Here are some of the designs I made for the Syracuse University Club Sailing Team for a vintage merchandise collection.
